Last year, the number of vehicles crossing the bridge in 24 hours stood at 32,432. Meanwhile, the tolls collected this year have also reached a new record. "And from North Bengal to Dhaka, 10,870 vehicles crossed, until now." Authorities have been collecting tolls on the Bangabandhu Bridge since the bridge was built in 1998.
