CAIRO – 8 November 2020: The Egyptian independent short film "yellow" won the best cut award in the official competition of Cinefem - Festival Internacional de Cine de la Mujer on November 2 in Uruguay. Staring Passant Shawky, directed by Mahitab Ayoub and written by Rawiah Ismail Abdallah, the movie revolves around the struggle of a woman, who is looking after her father. "Yellow" was the only Arab movie submitted to the festival. She asked herself what if her father who is very close to her gets the disease. "Yellow" was premiered in Malmo Arab Film Festival last October, and will be screened in Cairo International Film Festival in December.
