Egypt, Greece discuss regional developments in Cairo


Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry received his Greek counterpart Nikos Dendias in Cairo on Sunday and discussed ways to strengthen and develop bilateral relations between both nations. The spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry Ahmed Hafez said that the two ministers discussed a number of regional and international issues of common interest. Shoukry updated his Greek counterpart on the latest developments regarding Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD). The two ministers expressed their appreciation for the established partnership between the two countries, and the importance of continuing to strengthen relations together in all economic, political, social and cultural fields. They also discussed ways to mutually benefit from shared expertise in confronting the coronavirus pandemic, better mitigating its social and economic repercussions.
