Egypt, Arab countries' trade exchange reach $26B during 2023


According to CAPMAS, Egypt's exports to Arab countries increased to $13.6 billion in 2023, up from $12.5 billion in 2022. Leading the pack of Egypt's Arab export markets was Saudi Arabia, which imported $2.7 billion worth of Egyptian products. On the import side, Egypt's imports from Arab countries declined to $12.4 billion in 2023, down from $17 billion the previous year. Additionally, the value of Arab countries' investments in Egypt recorded $7.3 billion during the 2022/2023 fiscal year, down from $8.2 billion the previous year. The UAE was the top Arab investor in Egypt, pumping in $3 billion, followed by Saudi Arabia ($2.4 billion), Kuwait ($632.6 million), Qatar ($548.2 million), and Bahrain ($337 million).
