Education Minister gives school green light to recruit teachersEducation Minister Phung Xuan Nha proposed to allow schools to recruit teachers, basing on their specific requirements. Because only school management boards understand current situation of the school; once they are allowed to recruit on the basis of their own requirement, they will work out plan. At present, only people’s committees and the departments of education and training are eligible for recruiting teachers for school and both work on general plan leading to irrelevant redundancy or shortage in each school. Recruiting teachers following the demands of schools would help improve the quality of education, said Minister Nha. However, it should have road map for carrying out this plan, Minister Nha added.
