Edmonton photographer charged with making child porn and sexual assault


Lafrance has been charged with making child pornography, possession of child pornography and two counts each of sexual interference and sexual assault. An Edmonton freelance photographer has been charged with sexual assault and making child pornography. In a news release, Edmonton police allege that Christopher John Lafrance, 47, who goes by CJ Lafrance, inappropriately touched a teenager during two photo shoots on June 2 and June 11. Police are not releasing the exact age of the alleged victim but said the child protection unit only deals with victims who are 15 or younger. On Wednesday, child exploitation investigators with the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams wrapped up an eight-month investigation that culminated in the arrests of 10 people in southern Alberta.
