Edmonton Oil Kings back on the ice after welcomed Christmas break

It’s back to business for the Edmonton Oil Kings after a much-needed Christmas break. David Kope and Jalen Luypen scored for the Oil Kings, while Sebastian Cossa made 30 saves in the win. “It was a good break and it was nice to be home to see friends and family,” said Oil Kings forward Riley Sawchuk. “For me, it was about relaxing, taking the time off and recuperating and recharging the batteries,” said Oil Kings forward Jake Neighbours. The Oil Kings had an evening practice Thursday and then an early morning skate Friday before boarding the bus to Red Deer.
