Police recovered the body of a student of Eden College, Jannatul Ferdous Jibon, on Thursday morning. The deceased was a third-year student of chemistry department. Her body was found hanging from the ceiling of the reading room of the college’s Bongomata Hall. “We think she has committed suicide,” Additional Deputy Commissioner (Lalbagh zone) Md Nazir Ahmed Khan said. The body had been sent to Mitford Hospital.
