Ed Sheeran, the Rolling Stones and Sir Paul McCartney are among stars calling for Government help for the coronavirus crippled live music industry. It comes during what would have been the start of this summer’s live music season. The letter warns the Covid-19 lockdown is having a devastating impact on the £4.5billion live music sector and its 210,000 jobs. The letter says: “UK live music has been one of the UK’s biggest social, cultural, and economic successes of the past decade. Fans will also be encouraged to post about the last gig they went to in a mass show of support for the UK’s live music industry during the shutdown.
