Inaugurated by President Duterte the other day, the 15 billion yen (P7-billion) airport project was funded through a loan obtained from the Overseas Development Assistance (ODA) of Japan. Aside from its expected economic windfall, the new Bohol airport aims to address the rising demand for air transportation in the province of Bohol. The new airport is equipped with a 2,500-meter runway and a passenger terminal capable of handling two million people annually, compatible with international safety standards,” it added.
