Guwahati: Organisations demanding a separate Bodoland on Thursday announced a series of fresh agitation, including a 10-day economic blockade in January, to press for their demands. The announcement comes after their demonstration in Ramlila Maidan and Parliament Street in New Delhi on Tuesday and Wednesday. A 24-hour national highway blockade in the second week of December and a hunger strike in the last week will be part of the agitation before the economic blockade. "We have not decided the exact date of the economic blockade but it will be in the later part of January. We will carry on our agitation till a separate Bodoland state is created to fulfil the aspiration of the Bodos," All Bodo Students' Union president Pramod Boro said.
