The school that will host the State-level Pravesanotsavam has been given a gift of refurbished classrooms by the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan. Child-friendly and environment-friendly furniture and study equipment will welcome tiny tots on Friday. The school, which has 120 students on its rolls, will see 70 more students take admission this year. C. Divakaran, MLA, who is also the chairperson of the welcome committee, will give away study equipment for students. Meanwhile, at St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Pattom, the authorities claimed that over 2,250 students had taken admission to Classes 5 and 8.
