A residents' group has sued the Nairobi government for constructing rental shops and stalls at the Eastleigh Community Social Hall. The facility includes a social hall for indoor games and a meeting hall. Eastleigh Leaders Forum claimed the county and Marchais company constructed the structures, blocking access to lifts in the recreational facility. The residents want the court to issue an order declaring the construction of the shops and stalls illegal. The group further claimed the agreement between the two, to improve and develop the facility, was entered into secretly and without the involvement of the public.
