GAZELLE Motors Corp., a subsidiary of Eastern Petroleum Corp., is targeting to sell about 500 units of Russia-designed light commercial vehicles in the Philippines, its top official said. [These are] Euro 4 [vehicles],” Gazelle Motors Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Fernando Martinez told The Manila Times in a recent interview. It can serve as the platform for various specialized vehicles such as public utility vehicles, transport for disabled people, school buses, airport shuttles, and executive corporate minibuses. The GAZelle Next family is a range of light commercial vehicles combining high functionality, and modern and eco-friendly technical solutions. Prior to that, Eastern Petroleum and GAZ Group sealed a deal in 2017 which allowed the Philippine entity to secure rights to distribute and maintain GAZ’s light commercial vehicles.
