MANILA, Philippines — Easterlies, or warm winds from the Pacific region, will bring clouds and rain in many areas nationwide, the state weather bureau said Wednesday. ADVERTISEMENTBased on its 5 p.m. July 8 bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the easterlies, which bring hot and humid weather, is the prevailing weather system in the country now. Despite the occasional rains, Pagasa has not monitored any low-pressure area or storm inside and outside the Philippine area of responsibility. Meanwhile, temperatures in Metro Manila are expected to reach 25 to 33 degrees Celsius on July 9, while it may range from 24 to 33 degrees Celsius in Laoag, and 22 to 32 degrees Celsius in Tagaytay. In Visayas and Mindanao, Tacloban will see temperatures of 25 to 31 degrees Celsius, Cebu with 25 to 32 degrees Celsius, Davao with 25 to 33 degrees Celsius, and Zamboanga with 24 to 33 degrees Celsius.
