Student indecent assault case to be settled by bind overThe trial against a 17-year-old male student of an international school, accused of touching the buttocks of a then 15-year-old female student inside a hotel room during a school trip to Suzhou, Jiangsu Province between January 31 and February 1, 2018, began at the Eastern Magistrates' Courts today. But in the afternoon, the alleged victim accepted the defense's proposal to settle the case by binding over order after consideration and decided not to continue to testify against the defendant. The case was adjourned until tomorrow. The boy had pleaded not guilty to two counts of indecent assault.
