Aretha Franklin has been replaced by Earth, Wind & Fire at the second annual AMBI Gala in Toronto on Sept. 7. Franklin announced this week she would cancel several concerts this summer and fall for health reasons. “I’m disappointed. Tickets for the event are $2,500 with proceeds going to the Toronto Children’s Aid Society and the Regent Park U For Change, a group that mentors youth in a variety of artistic endeavours, including music, acting, playwriting, photography, fashion design and DJing.
