Hungary’s prime minister has said the EU should “round up” illegal immigrants and deport them to guarded camps “on an island or in North Africa.”The comments will inflame tensions with other European governments that have argued Budapest’s ultra-hard line on migration flouts international law and European values. Viktor Orban made the comments as he complained that it was unfair for Angela Merkel, Germany’s chancellor, to try to distribute migrants across European Union countries.
