Photo: BSSDHAKA, Feb 10, 2026 (BSS) - A high-level delegation of the European Union (EU) Election Observation Mission, led by its Chief Observer and Member of the European Parliament Ivars Ijabs, today paid a courtesy call on Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman. The 15-member EU delegation met the Jamaat Ameer at the party's central office at 11:00 am this morning. The EU delegation assured that a 200-member European Union observation team would be deployed to observe Bangladesh's forthcoming national parliamentary election. They expressed optimism that the momentum of bilateral relations, development and progress between Bangladesh and the European Union would continue in the future.
