For the last 20 years, I've been managing what were then called socially responsible portfolios -- now more commonly called sustainable responsible impact portfolios. But today I’ll just talk about the sustainable Impact strategy because it is a new comprehensive approach to sustainable impact investing that differs from other strategies in being opportunistic. We're not limited to only the funds that self-identify as sustainable or socially responsible funds. We uncover what you might call undiscovered sustainable funds by selecting from a much broader universe of diversified stock funds that meet our rigorous performance and ESG (environmental, social, governance) requirements. Brown: ESG is a relatively new way of measuring companies that started in Europe.
