Flying squad officials conducted checks near a resort at Korampallam where DMK president M.K. The officials, including police and paramilitary personnel, conducted checks on incoming and outgoing vehicles, including Mr. Stalin’s campaign vehicle, escort vehicles and those of his aides. The checks, which started around 5.30 a.m. lasted until 10.30 a.m. shortly before Mr. Stalin arrived. The officials said that the checks were conducted based on complaints regarding distribution of cash for votes. Mr. Stalin arrived in Thoothukudi for campaigning in support of party candidate M.C.
