EAM rubbish foul play theories by Filipino official

KUALA LUMPUR: The Equestrian Association of Malaysia (EAM) have rubbished any suggestion of foul play, causing a horse from the Philippines, Adventure E, to fail a doping test at the Kuala Lumpur Sea Games (KL2017) last year. EAM executive secretary Datuk major (rtd) Yap Mou Soon, who was also equestrian chief judge during KL2017, said such theories were unfair and baseless. Yap stressed that FEI would have already found out if there was any wrongdoing on Malaysia's part as hosts of KL2017. Carissa alleged that the vitamins administered to the horse by the official KL2017 veterinarian was a potential source of the substance. It was claimed that samples of the vitamin were tested and were found to contain 'a structure similar to the prohibited substance' and that the inadequate security at the games venue could have led to foul play or an accident.
