A TECHNICAL glitch did not stop Filipino karateka James de los Santos from snatching his 18th e-kata gold medal at the Pune Open India Karate E-Tournament on Saturday morning. The former national team member de los Santos solidified his grip of the World No. De los Santos, 30, told The Manila Times in an online interview that it was a tough win as he encountered internet connection problems prior to the submission deadline. De los Santos made it to the final round after beating Domont Matias Moreno of Switzerland and Alfredo Bustamante of the United States. De los Santos is currently competing in the eChampions Trophy World Series.
