It will also coordinate and conduct advocacy campaign and information dissemination on child labor and existing laws; implement the Philippine Program Against Child Labor (PPACL), establish child-appropriate mechanisms such as capacity-building for child laborers and their families; develope data management system on child labor, conduct research and surveys for policy and program development, among others. The new council will be co-chaired by the Secretary of the Department of Social Welfare and Development. The members include Secretaries of the Department of Education, Department of Health, Department of the Interior and Local Government, Department of Justice, Department of Agriculture, Department of Environment and Natural Resources, and the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos. Also part of the council are the heads of the National Economic and Development Authority, Philippine Information Agency, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, Council for the Welfare of Children, National Youth Commission, National Commission on Indigenous Peoples, Philippine Statistics Authority, Philippine National Police, National Bureau of Investigation.
