President Rodrigo Duterte has accepted the resignation of Tourism Secretary Wanda Tulfo-Teo, according to presidential spokesperson Harry Roque. “Yes, accepted,” Roque told reporters in a text message when asked if the President had accepted Teo’s resignation. Teo submitted her resignation to Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea before the Cabinet meeting in Malacañang on Monday. ADVERTISEMENT“There was a resignation letter [of Teo] that was submitted to the OES [Office of the Executive Secretary] before the meeting with the President last night,” Roque said in a Palace briefing. Roque said the Palace will leave it to the Ombudsman to determine if Secretary Teo has criminal liability.
