Dump truck hits school bus in East London, six students have minor injuries

Police are on the scene of a collision involving a school bus and dump truck at the intersection of Nissouri Rd. The Ontario Provincial Police said that six students from John Paul II Catholic Secondary School were on the bus at the time and suffered minor injuries. The driver of the bus, who worked for Langs Bus Lines, was airlifted to hospital but it was not because of the severity of the injuries. "There was limited ground transportation available as the children were a priority," said Liz Melvin, spokesperson with the OPP. The accident happened around 3 p.m. and the OPP is asking the public to avoid the area.
