Defence CS Aden Duale has hit out at National Assembly Minority Leader Opiyo Wandayi following his signing of the Azimio petition against the Kenya Kwanza administration. Duale said the Ugunja MP ought to resign for ignoring a provision of the Constitution on the delegation of sovereign power, hence denying the existence of the Parliament. In a statement after participating in the drive towards 10 million signatures, Wandayi said he had officially assented to exercising his sovereign power. "I have given my formal consent to exercise my sovereign power directly and not through any person, not a representative or any delegated authority," he tweeted. "Therefore, through my digital signature, I fully support the citizens’ initiative to declare a vote of no confidence in the Kenya Kwanza government."
