A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman said emergency services were notified at 8.35am on Tuesday. “The power pole is on top of the car and the power is still live, and we are waiting for the power company to isolate the power. A St John spokesman said the man was taken to Nelson Hospital by helicopter with serious injuries at 11.20am.
