A male driver has been charged after a female cyclist suffered serious injuries when she was hit by a vehicle in Scarborough on Saturday night. The driver is 70, while the cyclist is 63, according to Staff Sgt. Peter Trimble of Toronto Police Service's 42 Division. The driver has been charged with failure to stop at the scene of an accident. The driver fled the scene but was apprehended a short distance away.
