Thick black smoke can be seen pouring from the roof of the Saimaxx builder's merchant on Alfreds Way Industrial Estate in Barking. London Fire Brigade first received reports of the blaze just after 6.30pm and at least 125 firefighters raced to the scene, along with 20 fire engines, My London reports. The blaze has resulted in the closure of neighbouring roads and the Lodge Avenue Roundabout, which connects the A13 Alfreds Way with the industrial estate just to its south. A London Fire Brigade statement said: "Twenty fire engines and around 125 firefighters are currently tackling a fire at a warehouse on Alfreds Way in Barking.
