A manhunt was launched in Ohio on Tuesday for an "armed and dangerous" suspect accused of shooting at several officers during an overnight police chase. Police said they had been searching for Schmidt for several weeks on unrelated charges, FOX8 reported. At one point during the chase, Schmidt reportedly fired at officers, striking several cruisers. When they approached the area of Orville, Schmidt reportedly ran the car off the road and engaged officers in a shootout. Police said Schmidt is armed and dangerous.
