PENGERANG: Chinese voters in the Pengerang parliamentary constituency have been advised not to be influenced by the tactics used by the Opposition ahead of the general election. MCA deputy president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong said they should consider the developments taking place in the area as a result of the multibillion-ringgit Pengerang Integrated Petroleum Complex (PIPC) project that the Government started years ago. He said at that time the Opposition had deployed its leaders, lawyers and even supporters to get the Pengerang people to go against the project. Dr Wee said Pengerang had shown good progress since he visited the area a year ago, with so many developments taking place here. Pengerang Deepwater Petroleum Terminal (PDPT) and Pengerang Integrated Complex (PIC) are the two main catalysts that would spearhead the development of PIPC.
