Charlie Smyth has signed a three-year contract with NFL team the New Orleans Saints. The kicker has played three regular season games for the Saints since the team cut Blake Grupe in November. Smyth was elevated from the practice squad for each of those games, an option an NFL team can only take three times. Smyth has successfully kicked four of his five field goal attempts for the Saints, and made all five of his extra point attempts. The Saints face the Tennessee Titans in their final regular season game a week later.
