Double Eggs for No Egg Served: GES conclude investigations in Savelugu SHS feeding incident


According to the GES report, students were scheduled to receive jollof rice with eggs for supper. GES clears feeding grant arrears for special schools, SHS and SHTSHowever, the supplier failed to deliver the eggs on time. Instead of sourcing an immediate alternative, school authorities served the rice plain, promising students “double protein” at a later date to compensate. A participant at the event reportedly exploited the administrative lapse to film the students’ meals and circulate the video on social media. To prevent a recurrence, the GES announced that the Municipal Director of Education has been temporarily tasked with personally supervising all feeding arrangements at Savelugu SHS.
