A dormitory was reduced to ashes in a fire at a secondary school in Kipkelion West subcounty, Kericho, on Sunday. Anne Gatende, an adviser for the National Education Strategic Plan said board members are not competitive and only safeguard the interests of those who fronted them. He said board members should play the role of peacemakers and ensure the right strategies are used to resolve conflicts and punish students. The fire at Lelu Mixed Secondary School broke out at about 7pm while students were having supper.
