Protesters poured a red liquid on police spokesman Charles Owino when he accompanied them to the IG's office to present a petition against extra-judicial killings. Owino was being driven in a police car from Vigilance House when the demonstrators spotted him along Harambee Avenue on Monday. Protesters carried placards demanding "accountability for victims of police executions", and calling to "prosecute those responsible for the death of Willie, Joseph and Josephat". At the IG's office, Owino offered to receive the petition as the boss was out. I offered to accompany them to the IG's office.
