Key Mombasa leaders on Saturday said Kenya has no reason to postpone next year’s August 9 General Election. Some leaders have been calling for postponement because they want BBI passed first in a referendum and want the IEBC to complete a boundary review. Mombasa Senator Mohamed Faki, Nyali MP Mohammed Ali and former Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar said instead, the government should invest heavly in vaccines for all Kenyans. Faki said it is premature to speak about postponement of the General Election“We don’t know how prepared IEBC are. If they will be ready, then there will be no reason to postpone them,” the senator said.
