AMCAMC is currently in the middle of a marketing blitz for the season 8 finale of The Walking Dead and the season 4 premiere of Fear the Walking Dead promising that “worlds collide” once Morgan hops from one show to the other. I will agree that both season 1 (only six episodes) and season 2 were hit or miss, and contained their maddening moments. In particular, season 3 episode 13, This Land is Your Land, is one of the best episodes across either Walking Dead, and a showpiece for Fear's greatest asset, Alycia Debnam-Carey. But for your own benefit, I definitely recommend powering through and catching up on Fear the Walking Dead in full, particularly season 3, which will make the previous 22 episodes worthwhile. AMC shouldn’t sell Fear the Walking Dead short, and a ploy for new viewers shouldn’t come at the expense of making sure people see why the show has also been worth watching up to this point.
