Alberta is in crisis, but the Trudeau Liberals don’t behave like this is happening in an actual country. The $40 price differential for Alberta oil is ruinous. Luckily, Alberta has practice in saving itself from federal neglect and incompetence. The province constrained oil shipments in the 1980s to fight back against Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau’s National Energy Program. On Wednesday in Ottawa, Premier Rachel Notley said the province will buy tanker trains to ship Alberta oil.
