Former BHS owner Dominic Chappell arrives at Southwark Crown Court in London charged with cheating the public revenue and money laundering last monthThe businessman who bought BHS from Sir Philip Green for £1 before it collapsed has been banned from running a company for 10 years. Dominic Chappell, who bought the department store chain in 2015, has been banned from serving as a company director by the Government's Insolvency Service. Dominic Chappell was the architect of Retail Acquisitions' purchase of BHS four years ago. During a court hearing, it was alleged that Dominic Chappell wrongfully diverted £1.5 million of funds from BHS Limited to a company based in Sweden. Sir Philip Green (pictured above in May) sold Dominic Chappell department chain BHS for just £1 in 2015.
