Domestic Trade Ministry urged to revamp transporters and POS managementKUALA LUMPUR: The Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry has been urged to revamp its Service Providers (transporters) and Sales Centres/Points of Sales (POS) management. “The ministry must identify the programme’s weaknesses. To ensure that the locals will benefit from PPH, observation must be done randomly. According to the 2016 Auditor General’s Report, controlled items were not fully distributed to target groups within the government’s controlled price system. The report had identified a lack of monitoring on delivery by the Service Providers (transporters) and POS as the main problem.
