Eliza has benefited from the experience and looks to continue working with her beloved dogs for the rest of her life. “I want to be a dog physio when I grow up,” Eliza said with excitement. “This is so I can help and train dogs who have poorly legs.”Things didn’t quite go to plan when Eliza originally attempted to embark on her journey handling at the age of seven. “Eliza got a Miniature Dachshund at the age of seven,” her mother Jo, 52, said. Alongside Merlin, one, Eliza competed in her first Crufts event last year and came out victorious in the junior gundog category.
