HSE urged to end recruitment moratorium for frontline staffJames CoxThe Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO) has called on the Health Service Executive to end the moratorium on recruiting frontline patient-facing staff. “None of the problems that are currently facing the health service have come out of nowhere. Ms Ní Sheaghdha added: “The answer to these challenges should not be a moratorium on hiring frontline patient-facing staff. “The HSE recruitment freeze is going to have detrimental outcomes on patient care in the long-term but also on the ability to retain staff into the future. The recruitment moratorium must be reversed urgently.”
