An NHS doctor has gone viral on social media after posting a video which revealed insects are often found in pre-ground coffee beans. Dr Karan Raj reassured his social media followers that it's safe to consume the insects, adding: 'Just so you know if you drink coffee, you're also consuming cockroaches. 'If you're allergic to cockroaches, I'd stay away from pre-ground coffee.' The post garnered over 148,000 likes, but many joked it had 'ruined' their life and put them off drinking coffee. A further penned: 'Wonder if that vegan teacher drinks pre-ground coffee,' while another wrote: 'Me, watching this literally with a cup of coffee in my hand like.'
