OAKVILLE—Police have charged a doctor in Oakville, Ont., with sexual assault following an investigation into allegations brought by a patient. Halton regional police say the alleged assault happened in 2014, when the woman was a patient of Dr. Clarence Clottey. Police say the 59-year-old is still a practising doctor and they believe there could be more victims, so they’re asking anyone with information to come forward. The medical regulatory body says Clottey is set to appear before its disciplinary committee early next year. There have been restrictions on his practice since 2017, including that he not perform breast, pelvic or rectal exams on female patients.
