Dark WatersStarring Mark Ruffalo, Anne Hathaway, Bill Camp, Tim Robbins, Bill Pullman, Victor Garber and Mare Winningham. PGFilmmaker Todd Haynes is not normally given to shock reveals, being more interested in character studies like “Carol” and “I’m Not There.”Enter new movie “Dark Waters,” and watch as a camera shows a farmer’s cow graveyard, also glimpsed in the trailer: row upon row of burial mounds of poisoned cattle. “Dark Waters” dramatizes the fight by Rob Bilott, a corporate attorney turned environmental activist, who for the past three decades has fought DuPont and other chemical companies. Bilott converts from corporate yes-man to environmental crusader as “Dark Waters” shifts from a detective story into a courtroom procedural. No question, however, that “Dark Waters” makes an impact.
