Your new food-delivery guy can’t talk, but he can text. Delivery robots might soon crowd the streets. FedEx announced last week that it is testing robots for same-day delivery. Delivery upstart Postmates, which filed for an initial public offering last month, added a robot called Serve to its team in December. Not to be outdone, Amazon.com lifted the wraps on its own robot in January.
