PETALING JAYA: In a shocking revelation, Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin has blamed national diving coach Yang Zhuliang for a “culture and environment of fear” in the team. This “toxic environment” was what led to the ministry’s decision not to renew the contract of the coach, says the minister. “No one can deny Zhuliang’s success as the national head coach. “Since he took charge in 2008, he has managed to bring Malaysian diving to world level,” said Khairy in a statement. “That’s the main reason why I’ve decided not to extend Zhuliang’s contract.
