Divers will be searching the Red River near the Fort Garry Bridge Friday morning, say Winnipeg police. An identification unit truck was among the numerous police vehicles parked near the Fort Garry Bridge on Thursday. Something "suspicious" had been identified in the water near Bishop Grandin Boulevard and River Road on Thursday but police say the river is too murky to see what exactly it is. The south Winnipeg scene remains under an active investigation and officers will be stationed to secure the site overnight.
