He was there at the start, so it was only appropriate Brian Diver was there at the end too. The long-time Tauranga Intermediate principal was one of the founders of the AIMS Games in 2004; he retires early next year and also departs as tournament chairman. Seconds after the final whistle, the team turned to Diver, resplendent in Huskies hoodie and bellowed a Huskies howl and delivered a tribute haka. A year later, the first AIMS Games was held in Tauranga with 17 schools entered.
